Welcome

Welcome to TransformativeEating.com!

My name is Latoya J. Williams and I have been on an intuitive eating (IE) journey since December 2007. After being inspired by the amazing transformation that I have undergone through the practice of intuitive eating, I knew that there were many other people in the world who could benefit. My services are focused on working with you to end the cycle of weight gain and dieting in order to help you support your best body!

Developing a strong, confident, and joyful relationship with your body has a lot to do with getting to know who you are and who you want to be as well as figuring out how to bridge that gap. With a masters degree in transpersonal psychology, I am professionally prepared to be an effective coach for you by listening deeply, asking the important questions, supporting you in taking the steps that make sense of you, and helping you find the resources that you need.

I am also currently completing a year-long certified holistic health coaching (CHHC) program with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN). My comprehensive holistic nutrition training will help you cut through the nutrition confusion and create a life nourishing plan of action that is uniquely suited for you.

I offer my coaching services to women individually and to small groups of women. We’ll work together to help you end the cycle of dieting and weight gain through integrating the principles of intuitive eating, focusing on experimenting with joyful ways to move your body, and helping you find a gentle and supportive plan to nourish your body, mind, and soul.

Also, as a part of my mission to spread the message about eating freedom and the possibility of optimal well-being through intuitive eating practices,  I created The Eat. Move. Love. Project in July 2010. Through The Eat. Move. Love. Project, others and I intend to spread the message of eating freedom, love of movement, and care for the body, mind, and spirit through the practice and philosophy of intuitive (i.e., natural) eating to at least 10,000 women worldwide. We would like to witness the end of the pervasive dieting-binging lifestyle within our lifetimes.

Some of the key areas that I am exploring with the concept of  “transformative eating” are:

*Self-caregiving/caretaking: how to regulate and care for ourselves through emotional and physiological ups and downs

*Reconnecting with and honoring our body signals: Reclaiming our hunger and fullness signals as well as our signals to move our bodies joyfully. Learning what it means to love and respect our bodies and to feel a sense of wellness and ease

*Environmental sustainability: how our consumption (i.e., eating and in various areas) and movement patterns impacts the planet and how our efforts to transform areas of imbalance, through skillful and mindful ways, serve to honor the planet
